How to use the Ghana register
The Gaming Commission of Ghana publishes trade names, operation types and licence dates. In the register consulted on 18 September 2026, 1xBet appears under Sports Betting and Online Casino, with a listed expiry of 31 December 2026. The 22Bet entry consulted is Sports Betting with the same listed expiry. This check does not establish an unlisted casino permission for 22Bet.
An accessible website or accepted affiliate traffic is not proof of local licensing. Check the current register and ensure that the product and business you intend to use match it.
Reporting an unresolved complaint
The Commission’s FAQ says a complaint can be submitted by email or in writing with supporting evidence, or in person using a complaint form. Retain the account correspondence, transaction references and relevant terms so the issue can be described accurately.
Tax headlines need a date
The Ministry of Finance announced Parliament’s passage of reforms in March 2025 including removal of the 10% withholding tax on betting winnings and gaming, and repeal of the E-Levy. Do not reuse an old 10% deduction example as if it were the current rule. For an individual tax question, check current GRA guidance; an operator fee is not necessarily a tax.
